METROPOINTE LOFTS
YLH served as Construction Manager for the design and construction of MetroPointe Lofts. This is a 1,264 bed facility that offers modern industrial apartments with a loft atmosphere. It combines the luxury of private residential living with the economies of shared living spaces. The units consist of two, three or four bedroom apartments, all with private baths and shared kitchens and living rooms. Amenities include a club area, fitness center, volleyball and basketball courts and a resort quality pool. The project hard cost totaled $54 million. MORE›
CLAYTON STATE UNIVERSITY - SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
The building is 17,900 square feet with an ICF and steel structure, brick, granite and curtain wall skin and standing seam metal roof. CSU also expressed pride in the environmentally responsible construction methods used on the project. In addition to saving as many existing trees as possible, through the use of insulated concrete form walls and glass curtain wall, the building will have greatly reduced energy usage. The project is being hailed as a signature building for the campus and an important part of enhancing the reputation of the business school.MORE›
COBB COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY VILLAGE EDUCATION BUILDING
YLH was the Design/Builder for this one-of-a-kind project in Marietta, Georgia. This 30,000 square foot facility houses classrooms, offices, a theater, Kids Safe Garage and a special interactive fire safety house. The building’s primary function is to educate school children about fire safety, crime prevention and other issues related to public safety. The building also acts as host to various town hall meetings, County functions and adult education classes. The building’s exterior is designed to mimic historic Cobb County buildings. Once inside, visitors find themselves standing on a cobblestone street under a massive skylight that covers the entire main corridor. The corridor walls are designed to look like a row of shops and old town street leading to the Strand Theater.
